New Hillhaven Motorsports recruit for the 2020 season, Terry Cooper Jr, proved his worth Friday night in the NASCAR iRacing Series Open race at Texas Motor Speedway! In the beautiful Breat Cancer Awareness livery, HMS had a good showing all race long. The race started off with a perfect qualifying effort from the team. Cooper sat on the pole, with teammate and team owner Brayden Hill starting P2! Working together, the two drivers led most of the race, swapping positions back and forth. It was only when the race had a caution after a long green flag run that the race went south for Brayden Hill. On the following restart, the driver of the #23 car, who was running 3rd behind the two HMS cars, got impatient and spun Hill and caused a massive wreck. The incident resulted in a DNF for their team.
The last remaining HMS driver in the race, Terry Cooper Jr led the last three restarts of the race and held off the field to take his first ever win for Hillhaven Motorsports!
