Two weeks in, and the Hillhaven Motorsports team is already two-for-two in race wins. Backing up team owner Brayden Hill's Daytona 500 win, Alex M Phillips brought his #15 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 to victory lane at Atlanta Motor Speedway, one of the hottest and slickest tracks on the circuit. Hillhaven Motorsports had two drivers that qualified inside of the Top-5 for the race. Phillips sat on the pole, and teammate Bryan Mabrey started in the 4th position. Alex Phillips won the race in dominant fashion, leading 78% of the race -- 127 of 163 laps. The only other driver to lead laps was the #26 of Patrick Shelton, who led only 37 laps. The race had 8 cautions for a total of 32 laps. The Michigan driver joined Hillhaven Motorsports during the 2018-2019 offseason, and this is his first win with HMS. He expressed his excitement about his first win with the organization in the excitement of victory lane. Bryan Mabrey would go on to finish in the 8th position after a late pit strategy was unsuccessful.
